User Research

Before doing the user research, I defined 2–3 research goals based on the PaddleWeather project and what I hoped to learn from the participants. As I conducted a survey before interviewing the participants in the research, I tried to establish the research goals based on the survey findings.

I identified 4 people who could be the potential users of a SUP forecast app and matched my users’ characteristics. I scheduled interviews with these individuals and conducted them based on the interview script that I prepared beforehand.

I recorded the interviews and took notes to capture the results and for better subsequent recall.
